Your new role

As a Supply Chain Analyst, you will play a key role in driving inventory optimisation and improving master data accuracy to support MRP and planning activities. You will analyse usage, consumption trends and customer forecasts to establish effective inventory policies and reordering processes, ensuring these can be reviewed and refined over time. You will take ownership of developing structured processes, documenting decision points and maintaining master templates to support ongoing data governance and change tracking.

In this role, you will monitor stock levels and aged inventory, identifying slow-moving or obsolete stock and supporting actions to address it. You will work closely with production scheduling to validate work in progress and help prioritise manufacturing activity, while also liaising with customer services, suppliers and internal stakeholders to manage supply risks and expedite purchase orders where needed. A key part of your work will involve extracting, analysing and presenting data, alongside conducting root cause analysis to address stock discrepancies and process inefficiencies.


What you'll need to succeed

To succeed as a Supply Chain Analyst, you will bring experience in a similar supply chain, inventory or planning role, with a strong understanding of ERP or MRP systems and data environments. You will have solid analytical capability, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends and translate findings into practical actions. Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills are essential, along with the ability to present information clearly through reports or presentations.

You will be a well-organised and detail-focused individual, comfortable managing competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Effective communication is important, as you will work closely with stakeholders across operations, production and supply chain. A proactive approach, strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team are key to this role.


What you'll get in return

This role is offered initially as a six-month temporary contract with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent. You will work 36.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within a structured and supportive environment. The position offers a competitive hourly rate of up to £27.16 per hour, depending on experience.

In addition, you will gain valuable exposure to a broad range of supply chain activities, from inventory management and MRP planning to cross-functional collaboration across operations.
