Overview
We are looking for a highly organised and efficient Supply Chain Administrator to support the end‑to‑end supply chain function for a busy and fast‑paced organisation in East Lancashire. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the smooth movement of goods, accurate documentation, and strong supplier and customer communication. It’s an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role and has strong administrative and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support across the supply chain team, ensuring efficient coordination between suppliers, customers, and internal departments.
  • Process and manage purchase orders, sales orders, and delivery documentation.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update internal systems with stock movements.
  • Monitor supplier lead times, delivery schedules, and shipment tracking.
  • Liaise with logistics providers to ensure on‑time and cost‑effective transport arrangements.
  • Assist with supplier performance tracking, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Resolve supply chain queries by working closely with procurement, production, sales, and warehouse teams.
  • Support demand planning activities by collating data and maintaining forecasting spreadsheets.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards, including document control and audit requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with suppliers and partners.

Skills & Experience Required
  • Previous experience in a Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing, or Operations Administration role (preferred).
  • Strong IT skills, particularly Excel, and experience using ERP/MRP systems is advantageous.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and documentation.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Proactive attitude with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Understanding of supply chain processes (ordering, logistics, inventory) is beneficial but not essential.
