Your new role
As a Student Office Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting day-to-day student administration, with a strong focus on exam processes, timetabling, and student support. You’ll assist with the organisation and delivery of assessments, including exam preparation, digitisation of scripts, mark entry, and supporting exam periods.
You will also support timetable coordination, ensuring students are correctly registered, resolving clashes, and maintaining system accuracy. A key part of the role involves analysing marking and feedback data to ensure deadlines are met and identifying areas for improvement.
In addition, you’ll act as a first point of contact for students and staff, handling queries, supporting communications, and assisting with meetings and departmental administration.
What you'll need to succeed
- Previous administrative experience, ideally within Higher Education or a similar environment
- Experience working with databases or student record systems
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage high-volume datasets with a high level of accuracy
- Confident using Microsoft Office, including intermediate Excel skills
- Experience or exposure to data reporting/visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Desirable: Experience with timetabling systems such as Celcat
