HAYS are working in partnership with a specialist engineering consultancy based in Northern Ireland, seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join its growing team. With a strong reputation in the recycling and waste management industries, this company delivers comprehensive design engineering and project management services across complex, high-impact projects. From initial planning through to final implementation, they manage every phase with precision and a commitment to quality.

As a Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of bespoke steel constructions and custom plant systems. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop efficient, sustainable, and client-focused solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

Conducting structural analysis and producing detailed calculations and drawings.

Collaborating with engineers and clients to ensure seamless project execution.

Supporting the development of innovative engineering solutions that enhance operational efficiency.

A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

4+ years of experience in structural design and calculation

Chartered or working towards chartership (IStructE or ICE).

Proficiency in structural analysis software (e.g., Tekla, Tedds, STAAD).

Strong understanding of steel design and fabrication processes.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
