Strategic Account Manager – UK (Remote with Travel)
Location: Chesterfield (with up to 25% travel)

Your new role

As a Strategic Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for nurturing and expanding relationships with key accounts that are critical to the long-term success of the business. You’ll work closely with internal sales teams and global account stakeholders to develop strategic plans, identify growth opportunities, and ensure customer satisfaction through value-driven solutions.

Key responsibilities include:
Supporting the execution of strategic account plans at named, high-impact clients.
Driving new business development through research, outreach, presentations, and deal closure.
Building and maintaining strong relationships with priority customer stakeholders.
Acting as a liaison between field teams and global accounts to pursue new agreements and increase wallet share.
Managing a pipeline of opportunities including renewals, projects, and share improvement initiatives.
Collaborating with suppliers and internal teams to develop tailored solutions.
Reporting on customer activity, opportunity status, and strategic progress.


What you'll need to succeed

You’ll bring at least 5 years of proven experience in outside sales or 3+ years in strategic account management. A strong track record of developing key relationships and driving business growth is essential. You should be confident working in a matrixed environment and managing multiple stakeholders.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:
I am a self-starter with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Have a strategic mindset and the ability to identify and create opportunities.
I am proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office.
Are comfortable travelling up to 25% and managing remote relationships.
Have experience working across complex organisations and coordinating cross-functional teams.
