A reputable supply chain and distribution company based in Wrexham is seeking an ambitious and driven supply chain professional to join their Stock Control team on a permanent basis. The company is a well-known local employer with an excellent reputation, and they have great staff retention rates due to their brilliant workplace culture.
Your new role
Reporting to the Stock Control Manager, the Stock Analyst / Stock Controller will efficiently oversee inventory across all of the company's sites. As part of the Stock Analyst role, you will:
- Act as the main point of contact for all inventory related queries from various internal departments, clarifying inventory levels, stock availability and any related issues
- Maintain accurate records and facilitate timely reconciliations between the Sage system and 3rd party warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Ensure effective communication with suppliers and warehouses.
- Apply problem-solving skills to address challenges including any stock discrepancies.
- Assist in gathering data related to product recalls or potential quality concerns.
- Action stock adjustments and stock disposal where necessary.
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills
- Experience within an inventory control environment
- Strong computer literacy skills, including the use of MS Excel
- Ideally, you will have some experience using Sage software, or similar - but this is not essential.
- Excellent communication skills
