Steel Fixers Required on Large Commercial Project

Your new company

We are currently recruiting experienced Steel Fixers for a 5-week contract in Penrith.
This role will involve working on a shallow ground beam system, assembling and fixing reinforcement steel in accordance with detailed engineering drawings and bar schedules for a large contractor.

Your new role

  • Fixing and assembling steel reinforcement cages
  • Using stainless steel tie bars to secure cages into position
  • Working on a shallow ground beam (1000 x 500 x 13,600mm)
  • Reading and following foundation drawings and bar bending schedules
  • Ensuring all work meets required engineering and safety standards
  • Collaborating with site managers and other trades on-site

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a Steel Fixer / Rebar Fixer
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and bar schedules
  • Experience working on RC structures or ground beams
  • Valid CSCS Card
