Specie Claims Broker
Your new company
A globally recognised insurance brokerage is seeking a Specie Claims Broker to join its expanding London market claims team. Operating independently with a strong international footprint, this firm offers a dynamic and collaborative environment for professionals specialising in high-value asset insurance.
Your new role
As a Specie Claims Broker, you will manage a portfolio of claims across a range of specialist lines, including fine art, jewellers block, cash in transit, general specie, cargo, liability, and auto damage. You will oversee claims from initial notification through to final settlement, managing workflows via London market systems such as ECF and CLASS.
The role also involves providing technical and administrative support to the cargo claims team, liaising with underwriters, surveyors, and other stakeholders, and ensuring service delivery meets internal KPIs and client expectations. You will assist senior colleagues with complex or high-value losses and contribute to the overall efficiency and responsiveness of the claims function.
What you'll need to Succeed
To succeed in this role, you will need a minimum of three years’ experience in claims handling, ideally within cargo or specie.
A solid understanding of standard specie clauses and London market protocols is essential, along with proficiency in ECF and CLASS systems.
Strong communication and negotiation skills are key, and progress toward an ACII qualification would be advantageous. You should also be confident using Microsoft Office and working in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
What you'll get in return
In return, you’ll join a forward-thinking team within a broker that values integrity, development, and long-term career growth. The role offers a competitive salary, a comprehensive benefits package, and the opportunity to work on high-profile claims in the London market.
