Your new company

A Special Needs School which specialises in behavioural issues is looking for a School SEN Administrator to carry out long term cover. The cover is Monday to Friday, term time only, 8.00 am - 4.00 pm initially until Easter 2026.

Your new role

You will provide efficient and effective administration support for the schools SENCo and Deputy SENCo’s and the wider school team. They will ensure that the needs and provision of all our pupil’s is well administered for all stakeholders involved. Duties will entail:

  • Provide overall administration support in order to assist with the SENCo Team.
  • Become familiar with Local Authority SEND paperwork.
  • Work in partnership with parents to ensure that children, young people and their families are fully involved in their education.
  • Work with the staff team to ensure pupil support plans and audit of needs are complete, updated and are purposeful.
  • Ensure pupil support plans are securely transferred to new educational providers when a pupil transitions and relevant documentation is securely stored in relation to the schools data and retention policy.
  • Maintain records of pupil’s key workers.
  • Produce templates, forms and resources as directed.
  • Provide administrative support for meetings by agreeing agendas, recording and typing minutes, where necessary.

What you'll need to succeed

You will need to have similar experience within and education setting and be able to work quickly under your initiative. You will also have recent satisfactory references for carrying out a similar placement within the last 2 years.
