Special Educational Needs (SEN) Primary Teacher
Location: Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire Full-Time | Start Date: September 2025 Salary: Dependent on experience

About the School
A nurturing and inclusive primary school in the heart of the Forest of Dean is seeking a dedicated SEN Primary Teacher to join their team. The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. With a strong focus on personalised learning and wellbeing, the school offers a warm, collaborative environment where every child is encouraged to thrive.

The Role
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with special educational needs. You will deliver a creative, differentiated curriculum tailored to individual learning plans, while fostering a safe and supportive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, inclusive lessons in line with EHCPs
  • Work closely with support staff, therapists, and external agencies
  • Track and assess pupil progress, maintaining clear and accurate records
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues
  • Contribute to the wider SEN provision and school community
What We’re Looking For
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience working with children with SEN in a primary setting
  • Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • A nurturing, patient, and creative approach to teaching
