Role Overview:
My client is supporting the UK Government with improvements to the reporting of key statistics. They are currently using on-premises reporting solutions, and are planning to migrate all reporting workloads to AWS Cloud in order to enhance scalability, reliability, and performance.
The programme requires a Solution Architect to review the existing architecture, shape the target cloud-based reporting architecture, provide leadership across the solution design, and present recommendations to the Architecture Board for governance and approval.

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions. The role requires strong technical leadership, governance alignment, and stakeholder engagement to ensure architectural integrity and compliance with standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ownership of Solution Architecture: Define and maintain end-to-end architecture.
- Design for Scalability, Security, and Performance: Ensure solutions meet operational and security requirements while supporting future growth.
- DSA Governance Alignment: Adhere to Digital Service Architecture governance and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Architectural Reviews: Conduct and lead reviews to validate design decisions and compliance.
- Lead Multidisciplinary Teams: Provide technical leadership across development, infrastructure, and operations teams.
- Technical Mentorship: Guide and mentor team members to build architectural capability.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in solution architecture within large-scale public sector or government projects.
- Strong knowledge of security, scalability, and performance design principles.
- Familiarity with governance frameworks such as DSA.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills for managing multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
