About Us
We are a specialist real estate lender operating across England and Wales, providing funding from £250k to £10m for development projects. Since launching in 2015, the business has been recognised as one of Europe’s fastest‑growing companies, featuring on the Financial Times 1000 list for two consecutive years. With over £650m lent to date and an exceptional track record of zero capital losses, the organisation continues to expand rapidly.
About the Role
The company is entering an exciting phase of its evolution and is developing a highly automated end‑to‑end lending platform. A bespoke in‑house system is currently being built to streamline lending analysis, workflow execution, and operational processes across the business. This technology will be central to improving efficiency, scalability, and long‑term growth.
To accelerate development, we are hiring a Junior Software Developer (frontend‑focused with some backend exposure) to join the existing development team. You will work closely with senior leadership and play a fundamental role in building and refining the platform.
About You
We are looking for a motivated and disciplined individual eager to contribute to a growing technology function. Whether you're self‑taught, university‑educated, or trained on the job, what matters most is your passion, discipline, and ability to deliver clean, reliable software.
This role is primarily frontend focused, but requires working knowledge of backend principles.
Key Skills (Required)
- Strong experience with React and Next.js for modern web application development.
- Experience using Node.js and related development tools.
- Proven ability in UI design and implementation, delivering clean and intuitive user interfaces.
- Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, with exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure or alternatives.
- Solid understanding of CSS, styling libraries, and modern styling approaches.
- Working knowledge of RESTful APIs and frontend–backend integration.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of testing practices, including familiarity with TDD.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Experience with Python/FastAPI for backend development.
- Experience using AI‑assisted development tools.
- Awareness of Model Context Protocol (MCP).
- Experience collaborating from Figma or design files.
- Exposure to AI agents or agent‑based workflows.
