Adult Social Work Position in Solihull

Your new role

As an Experienced Adult Social Worker, you will play a key role in supporting individuals on the Adults Post Discharge Team, completing long-term assessments and facilitating safe, person-centred discharges. The role involves regular community visits, so access to your own vehicle is essential.

You will manage complex cases, respond to safeguarding concerns, and work within pressurised timescales. You’ll also engage in multi-agency collaboration, promote positive risk-taking, and apply your detailed knowledge of legislation including the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 (DoLS), and Mental Health Act 1983.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Substantial post-qualifying experience in Adult Social Work Services
  • Strong understanding of relevant legislation and statutory responsibilities
  • Proven experience in safeguarding, complex case management, and multi-agency working
  • Ability to communicate complex and sensitive information effectively
  • Resilience and excellent interpersonal skills to manage challenging situations
  • Enhanced DBS with Adults Barred List
  • Access to your own vehicle for travel between community settings
