Sandwell MBC are looking to recruit 2 x Social workers for their EAB in Harvest View Paying £28.40

Your new company

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council are looking for 2 x Social workers for their busy EAB service, which is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is flexible, innovative and has a proven track record within a similar setting.

Harvest View, based in Rowley Regis, is an integrated health and social care centre, providing 80 rooms for specialist rehabilitation, helping residents recover from hospital stays or prevent admission, focusing on reablement to return home through combined health and social care.

Your new role

As a qualified Social Worker, you focus on facilitating recovery and independence through comprehensive needs assessments, personalised care planning, and coordination with health teams, aiming to prevent hospital readmission by supporting residents to regain daily living skills in a home-like setting, ultimately connecting them to appropriate long-term support like supported living.

You will be working with older people, people with physical disabilities and sensory impairments, as well as mental health issues. You will need to be motivated and flexible with high professional standards and sound knowledge and experience of current legislation including the Care Act 2014, Safeguarding, Continuing Health Care, Mental Health Act, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Community DOLS/LPS.

You will be working in a friendly environment, with a skilled, diverse and supportive team.

What you'll need to succeed

To be successful, you will need to
Have a recognised professional Social Work qualification (MA/BA/B.Sc. in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW)
Social Work England registration
3 years post-qualifying experience.
Previous experience working within Social Work adults services
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Flexibility to travel as required.
