Your new role

• Manage and motivate staff, fostering a strengths-based approach and citizen-focused outcomes.
• Oversee service delivery, ensuring compliance with safeguarding policies and making safeguarding personal principles.
• Lead multi-agency planning, reviews, and decision-making meetings.
• Quality assure practice through audits, case reviews, and performance monitoring.
• Manage budgets and contribute to financial accountability processes.
• Support partnership development and community-based prevention initiatives.
• Provide supervision, identify training needs, and promote continuous professional development.
• Deputise for the Head of Service and cover other Team Managers as required.

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualified Social Worker registered with the appropriate professional body.
• Strong leadership and team management skills within adult social care.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and safeguarding practices.
• Ability to influence, negotiate, and build effective partnerships across agencies.
• Experience in budget management and service improvement.
• 2 years post-permanent qualifying experience in another local LA
