Social Media Manager - D2C Retail - up to £38,000 - North London (hybrid)

Your new company
You’ll be joining a rapidly growing, London‑based D2C brand that launched just last year and has already seen exceptional traction in the market. Built by a husband and wife founding team with over 15 years' industry experience.

With manufacturing partners in China and a small global team spanning the UK, Hong Kong and China, the company blends creative flair with fast‑paced start‑up energy. The brand is stocked by major retailers and continues to scale at speed following the closure of previous retail partners in the sector, opening new space for innovation and growth.
This is an exciting opportunity to become the first dedicated social media hire and play a defining role in shaping the digital presence of a brand on a steep upward trajectory.

Your new role
As Social Media Manager, you will own and elevate the brand’s entire social footprint across D2C channels - including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook (Meta) and Pinterest. You’ll be responsible for strategy, content, community management and reporting, with lots of room for creativity and experimentation.

  • Develop and implement a full organic social media strategy aligned with brand vision and growth targets.
  • Build clear content pillars, define audiences and deliver an always‑on content approach.
  • Plan and publish daily content across all key D2C channels, ensuring best‑practice execution.
  • Create or co‑create engaging social content (video, stills, stories, reels) using the in‑house sampling and content‑making space.
  • Lead day‑to‑day community management to nurture followers and deepen engagement.
  • Collaborate with external agencies for paid social, analytics, email and graphic design.
  • Support influencer campaigns including outreach, briefing, negotiation and reporting.
  • Analyse performance metrics, optimise content strategies and produce monthly performance reports.
  • Work closely with the Co‑Founders on integrated campaigns and product storytelling.
  • Contribute ideas for new markets and launches, including the upcoming US expansion.

What you'll need to succeed
  • 2+ years’ experience managing social media channels for a brand, ideally in D2C, consumer goods, gifting or similar creative industries.
  • Demonstrable success growing organic social channels - especially TikTok, Instagram and Pinterest.
  • Strong content creation skills and confidence appearing on camera when needed.
  • Highly organised, detail‑driven and able to manage multiple workstreams independently.
  • A deep understanding of social trends, audience behaviour and platform best practice.
  • A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset suited to a fast‑growing start‑up.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills - including working with overseas teams and agencies.
  • A portfolio or examples of social content showcasing your style and results.

What you'll get in return
  • A competitive starting salary of up to £38,000, with a 6‑month review and salary increase based on performance.
  • A hybrid working setup - typically 2 days per week in the North London office.
  • The chance to build and shape the brand’s social presence from the ground up.
  • A supportive, creative and ambitious founding team with global expertise.
  • Access to a dedicated content‑creation studio and sampling space.
  • Exposure to every part of the brand’s growth journey - from product development to US market expansion.
  • Genuine autonomy, trust and the ability to make an immediate impact in a fast‑scaling business.
