Hays is delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a local division of a manufacturing and engineering business with a global presence. The company is based just outside Birmingham City Centre.

Your new role

As Purchasing Manager you will lead an established stable team of 3 and be responsible for ensuring cost savings for the business from a procurement basis.

You will oversee all category management using SAP. Ensure all PO numbers are correctly aligned with internal processes. Liaise and ensure all service contracts are established and maintained and ensure efficient stock control for effective working capital.

What you'll need to succeed

You will be an experienced Purchasing Manager ideally with knowledge of SAP and a background in engineering or manufacturing. You will also have previous experience of leading a team and be happy to work across the business.
