Long‑Term Temporary Site Manager – Commercial Project
Location: Suffolk Rate: £300 per day Contract: Long-term temporary
Your new role
Our client, a well-established regional contractor, is seeking an experienced Site Manager on a long-term temporary basis to deliver a commercial construction project in Suffolk. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the site, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme and to the required quality standards. This is a hands‑on role requiring strong leadership, organisation and coordination of subcontractors and site teams.Key responsibilities include:
- Full day-to-day management of the site
- Coordinating subcontractors, labour and materials
- Ensuring strict compliance with health & safety regulations
- Managing short-term programmes and daily activities
- Maintaining quality standards and overseeing snagging
- Liaising with the project team, consultants and stakeholders
- Completing site documentation and progress reporting
What you’ll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on commercial projects
- Excellent knowledge of health & safety and site processes
- Valid SMSTS, CSCS (Black or Gold) and First Aid certificates
- Ability to manage programmes and multiple subcontractors
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced site environment
