About the Project
Our client has secured a new school development near Eastleigh and is seeking an experienced Lead Site Manager to oversee a £3 million project. This will commence in December and run through to summer next year, requiring a manager with a proven track record of managing projects from groundwork to final handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and manage daily site operations to ensure smooth workflow and timely progress.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and deliveries to meet project schedules.
- Monitor health and safety compliance and enforce site safety standards.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to design specifications and building regulations.
- Maintain accurate site records, including progress reports, permits, and inspections.
- Resolve on-site issues promptly to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, architects, and project managers.
- Manage budgets and resources to keep the project within financial targets.
- Conduct site inductions and toolbox talks for all personnel.
- Oversee snagging and handover process at project completion.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Site Manager on similar-scale projects (£2m–£5m).
- Valid SMSTS and DBS certifications.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple trades effectively.
- Payment via Limited Company or Umbrella – CIS is not available.
