Your new role

Site Manager required to lead groundworks operations on a project in Ipswich, but must be flexible to work across Cambridgeshire and Suffolk. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery of groundworks packages, including foundations, drainage, earthworks, and external works.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily site operations, ensuring work is delivered on time, within budget, and to specification

  • Manage subcontractors and direct labour, ensuring compliance with health & safety standards

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure smooth delivery

  • Monitor progress and produce regular site reports

  • Ensure quality control and resolve any on-site issues promptly

  • Lead site inductions and toolbox talks

  • Maintain accurate site records and documentation


What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience managing groundworks packages on construction sites

  • Strong knowledge of health & safety regulations and site compliance

  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

  • SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications required
