Your new role
- Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance across buildings and grounds.
- Managing utilities and ensuring energy efficiency.
- Supervising contractors and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Conducting statutory checks and inspections, including fire safety and emergency lighting.
- Leading risk assessments and implementing robust compliance policies.
- Acting as key holder and maintaining site security procedures.
- Managing a small site team and monitoring budgets for premises and cleaning.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in site management or a similar role, ideally within an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in IT systems for compliance tracking.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and flexibility to work outside normal hours when required.
- Essential qualifications: GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, relevant trade certifications, and a clean driving licence.
- Desirable: Health and safety qualifications (IOSH, NEBOSH, COSHH).
