Site Engineer – Civils (Wastewater Project)

Day Rate: £Comeptitive

Your new company
You’ll be joining a National respected civil engineering contractor, known for delivering high‑quality infrastructure and water sector projects. With strong regional ties and long‑standing frameworks within the utilities' industry, the company offers stability, progression, and a collaborative working culture.
Your new role
As a Site Engineer on a major wastewater scheme, you’ll take responsibility for setting out quality assurance, and ensuring works are delivered safely and accurately. The project involves extensive civil work including multiple excavations, pipe installation, and associated underground infrastructure. Key duties include:
  • Setting out for numerous excavations, pipe runs, chambers, and concrete structures
  • Supporting installation of pipelines and underground services
  • Completing ITPs, QA documentation, and as‑built records
  • Assisting supervisors with technical queries and ensuring works follow design specifications
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards
  • Liaising with designers and project managers to resolve issues

What you'll need to succeed
  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer on civils projects, ideally within the water or wastewater sector
  • Strong setting‑out skills using GPS, total station, and robotic equipment
  • Own equipment preferred, though GPS and robotic kit can be supplied if required
  • Solid understanding of QA processes and site documentation
  • CSCS card (essential); SMSTS/SSSTS (desirable)
  • Confident communicator with the ability to work independently
