Site Agent – Permanent – Tier 1 Contractor – Major Long-Term Highways Project – Reading – Civils

Your new role

As Site Agent, you’ll take ownership of site operations and lead a skilled team to deliver excellence.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing site engineers and section engineers.

  • Preparing and reviewing work packages and management plans.

  • Overseeing subcontractors and supplier relationships.

  • Ensuring compliance with H&S and CDM regulations.

  • Monitoring contractual requirements and maintaining accurate records.

  • Leading site meetings, daily briefings, and maintaining site diaries.

  • Delivering works to specification and supporting project close-out.


This is a hands-on leadership role where your decisions will shape the success of a major infrastructure project.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Proven experience as a Site Agent or similar role within highways or civil engineering.

  • Strong knowledge of H&S/CDM legislation and NEC contracts.

  • Ability to manage a site or section of a larger project effectively.

  • SMSTS certification and First Aid at Work.

  • Full UK driving licence.


Your ability to lead teams, maintain standards, and drive performance will be key.
