Site Agent - Permanent - Tier 1 Contractor - Severn Trent Water AMP8 Framework - Worcester - Civil Engineering

Your new company

Our client, an established Tier 1 civil engineering contractor operating in the water industry, is seeking a Site Agent to join their delivery team. This multi-accredited and high-profile organisation has a strong pipeline of work in the water sector, delivering projects valued between £1m-£15m directly for Severn Trent Water, and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. With a healthy orderbook of AMP8 works, they are actively looking to strengthen their delivery team.

This is a full-time permanent position based in the Worcestershire area.

Your new role

As Site Agent, your responsibilities will include:
  • Holding overall responsibility for the successful delivery of various projects
  • Delivering the work to the specified quality without defects
  • Ensuring production and implementation of project plans, RAMS, ITP as well as waste management plans, when specified, in line with company procedures
  • Ensuring the commercial performance of the contract is maximised
  • Producing and managing the project construction programme as well as producing 2 weeks’ look ahead
  • Producing procurement schedules and liaising with the procurement department to ensure sites have adequate resources to complete the tasks
  • Ensuring detailed site diaries/records are completed
  • Chairing weekly site meetings in line with company procedures.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful, you must have:
  • Proven successful experience in a similar role within the water industry
  • Ability to manage construction activities and coordinate subcontractors
  • CSCS, SMSTS and First Aid
  • Strong interpersonal, organisational and people management skills
  • Full UK driving licence.
