Site Agent – Permanent – Tier 1 Contract – Welsh Water AMP8/AMP9 – South Wales

This multi-accredited and high-profile contractor has a strong pipeline of work directly with Welsh Water as part of their AMP8/AMP9 programme and offers excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development. Their commitment to delivering an exceptional standard of work has positioned them as a leader in the water industry and, as part of their continued growth, they are actively seeking a Site Agent to join their team.
This is a full-time permanent position based in South Wales.
Your new role
As a Site Agent, you’ll take ownership of day‑to‑day site management on a range of exciting water schemes. You’ll lead the safe and efficient delivery of works, ensuring compliance with design specifications, legal standards and client expectations.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing construction activities to deliver programmes safely, on time and within budget
- Ensuring accurate implementation of engineering controls and adherence to contract drawings and specifications
- Producing and briefing risk assessments and method statements to staff and operatives
- Leading daily coordination with the senior foreman on resourcing, productivity and programme requirements
- Solving technical challenges and improving site performance in quality, efficiency and safety
- Coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams including civils and M&E interfaces
- Promoting continuous improvement and ensuring all personnel receive appropriate training.

What you'll need to succeed
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience as a Site Agent or Site Manager on water (clean and/or waste) schemes
- CSCS, SMSTS and first aid accreditations
- Excellent working knowledge of CDM regulations, health and safety and quality management systems
- Experience managing subcontractors, resources and site logistics
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and direct site teams
- Sound problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset
- Full UK driving licence.
