Your new role

Job Opportunity: SIS Trainer (Contract)
Location: Merseyside & Cheshire
Contract Type: Long-term day rate contract
Office Presence: Significant on-site presence required

We’re looking for a skilled and proactive Student Information Systems Trainer to support training delivery across multiple sites in the North West. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in enabling staff and students to make the most of our digital platforms and systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver scenario-based training aligned with academic milestones and system readiness.
  • Create engaging, user-friendly training materials including guides, hover-over explanations, and visual aids.
  • Facilitate interactive ‘show-and-tell’ sessions tailored to varied audiences.
  • Cascade information effectively across departments, adapting messaging for different user groups.


What you'll need to succeed

Essential Experience:
  • Strong understanding of academic and higher education cycles and how they impact training schedules.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training for digital platforms in an educational setting.
  • Ability to simplify complex terminology and processes for non-technical users.

Systems Knowledge:
  • CourseLoop (Curriculum Management Solution): Module proformas, assessment setup, validation.
  • Student Information System (SIS): Student enrolment, classes/sections, gradebook, transcripts.
  • Canvas (Virtual Learning Platform): Assessment creation, marking via Canvas gradebook, submission of marks to SIS.
