Your new role
The SHEQ Officer will support the Group’s SHEQ strategy, ensuring compliance with legislation, industry standards, and company policies. This role will be central in promoting a strong safety culture, driving continuous improvement, and supporting operational excellence. While initially a fixed-term contract, there is a strong likelihood of the role becoming permanent for the right candidate. Key responsibilities include:
- Championing Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) across the Group.
- Carrying out audits, inspections, and risk assessments to keep our teams safe and compliant.
- Supporting incident investigations and ensuring lessons learnt are embedded.
- Driving sustainability initiatives and monitoring environmental performance.
- Supporting quality assurance processes to deliver excellence for our clients.
- Delivering training and engaging with staff to build a strong safety-first culture.
What you'll need to succeed
- NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) or equivalent SHEQ qualification.
- IOSH Membership
- Experience in a SHEQ role, ideally within construction, engineering, or fire safety industries.
- Familiarity with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001)
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence and inspire.
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and passion for safety, sustainability, and quality
- Valid UK driving licence
