SHEQ Officer - Construction Contractor - Co. Tyrone
Your new company
Your new company is a professional building contractor based in Co. Tyrone specialising in the health, education, aviation, commercial and residential sectors, who now require a Health & Safety Officer to join their experienced workforce. With a busy orderbook and ongoing works covering the whole of Northern Ireland, the company are steadily building upon their already impressive project portfolio and extending their operational footprint across all major market sectors within the UK and Ireland.
Your new role
As a Health & Safety Officer, you will be responsible for overseeing H&S on a range of small-medium sized construction schemes from private developments & social housing to commercial new builds & refurbishments.
You will be responsible for supporting the Manager in advising staff on all HSE matters, ensuring company health and safety is implemented and complied with. You will be tasked with producing and completing risk assessments & method statements alongside conducting site audits & inspections on a regular basis. Your time throughout the week will be split between head office in Co. Tyrone and multiple construction sites.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered successful for the role, you will have previous experience in a similar role within a construction environment. You’ll demonstrate a knowledge of SHEQ standards & audit procedures with an understanding of implementing integrated ISOs (14001, 45001 & 9001) throughout a live project. Ideally you will be professionally qualified to NEBOSH level or hold a relevant BSc Degree. A degree in a construction related sector is advantageous.
