SHEQ Advisor - Civil Engineering Contractor - NI Based

Your new company

Your new company are a local NI contractor. They specialise in a diverse range of sectors including roadworks, road surfacing and maintenance, civil engineering, demolition, quarrying, hazardous and non-hazardous waste management, outdoor cleaning services and analytical chemistry. With over 100 years’ experience, they have one of the best reputations in the civil engineering industry and install quality and excellence throughout their various divisions.

Your new role

In your new role, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team (supporting the SHEQ Manager and working alongside other Advisors) in a demanding and dynamic environment across 4 business areas and make a significant contribution to the overall success of the business. Assisting in maintaining and developing the Companies Management Systems, you will assist with developing and implementing business improvements to maximise Health, Safety, Quality, Production, Profitability and Customer Satisfaction.

Your time throughout the week will be split between HQ in Co. Antrim and sites across Northern Ireland.


What you'll need to succeed

You will have good commercial awareness and excellent communication skills, with the ability to establish and develop business relationships whilst maintaining standards. You will be a self-motivated individual who can work well as part of an existing team and is able to provide data-driven, informed advice to minimise safety, environmental and quality-related problems. You will be NEBOSH certified or have a relevant degree and ideally have experience within the construction and / or waste sectors. Health and Safety graduates with a placement year are also encouraged to apply.
