We're looking to recruit a Sheltered Housing Officer on a 37-hour per week temporary contract, where you'll be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality housing management services within a Retirement Living Scheme for over 55s.

Your new role

• Conduct routine health, safety and compliance checks, and ensure audits have been completed

• Manage voids, lettings, sign-ups and carry out viewings

• Identify any repair issues, raise orders and manage reactive repairs by coordinating contractors.

• Manage rent accounts and support customers in arrears by offering tenancy sustainment advice

• Deal with any low level anti-social behaviour or breaches of tenancy

• Update risk assessments and identify any safeguarding concerns

• Complete daily welfare checks

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in a housing/tenancy management role with a good understanding of housing legislation and best practice

• An understanding of welfare benefits

• Experience of managing low level anti-social behaviour and neighbour disputes

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
