Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (depending on experience)
Are you a qualified teacher looking for a rewarding role in special educational needs (SEN) school?
A well-established SEND school in Dudley is seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to lead a Key Stage 3 (KS3) class starting in September 2025.

This specialist provision supports pupils aged 3 to 19 with a range of complex learning difficulties, including:
  • Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD)
  • Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD)
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Communication and sensory processing needs
The school is known for its inclusive learning environment, strong safeguarding practices, and commitment to individualised education plans (EHCPs). It provides a nurturing space where pupils are supported to develop communication, independence, and life skills.

About the SEN Teaching Role
As the class teacher for a group of KS3 students with special needs, you will:
  • Deliver creative, differentiated lessons tailored to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
  • Be supported by four experienced SEN teaching assistants
  • Work within a collaborative and supportive SEN teaching team
  • Use a range of strategies to support communication, sensory integration, and behavioural needs
  • Foster a positive, safe, and engaging classroom environment
✅ Ideal Candidate
  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Has experience teaching in a special school, SEN unit, or inclusive mainstream setting
  • Demonstrates a nurturing, patient, and flexible teaching style
  • Has strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Passionate about supporting pupils with
    SEND,
    SLD,
    PMLD, or
    ASD
