Senior Technical Delivery Manager - Global Bank - Risk & Product Control

Overview

We’re looking for a hands‑on Technical Delivery Manager to lead end‑to‑end delivery of a key technology product or platform. This role combines delivery ownership, product leadership, and technical credibility. You’ll work closely with developers, analysts, and senior business stakeholders, taking full accountability for outcomes and team performance.

Details:
Location – London
Duration - Initial 6 months
Hybrid – 2 days / week in the office

Key Responsibilities

Own delivery from inception through build, release, and BAU.
Prioritise and maintain the product backlog and roadmap.
Work directly with developers and challenge technical decisions where needed.
Understand system design, data flows, APIs, and CI/CD processes.
Provide clear, structured updates to senior stakeholders.
Lead and line‑manage a team of software engineers.
Ensure operational readiness, incident oversight, and continuous improvement.

Experience & Skills

Proven experience delivering complex technical products end‑to‑end.
Strong product ownership and Agile delivery capability.
Technically credible – able to understand architecture, integrations, and engineering practices.
Comfortable engaging with developers and senior stakeholders.
Experience leading engineering teams.
Strong data understanding; SQL experience preferred (Python beneficial).
Background in risk, product control, or similar domains is advantageous.
