An immediately available Senior Sourcing Specialist is needed for a large engineering business in Darlington.
I am delighted to be supporting an international engineering business on a large site in Darlington with the appointment of a Senior Sourcing Specialist to join them on an ongoing interim basis until June 2025.
This role is key in supporting the engineering team in conducting complex analysis of markets, supply chains, and supply base. You will identify new suppliers and execute sound source selection processes. You will understand how key procurement principles are used toward assuring supply. Working with stakeholders to support business goals, such as supply security, reduction of complexity or financial targets. Execute sourcing tactics of varying complexity in accordance with established category/commodity strategies reflecting the optimum cost, quality, delivery. - Participates in sourcing and category commodity strategy formulation.
To succeed in this role you will have previous sourcing experience to a senior level, ideally managing global supply chains within complex manufacturing or engineering businesses. You will have a CIPS qualification and be a competent and proactive candidate who is a self-starter and able to manage and develop stakeholder relationships.
