Senior Site Manager - Full Time Position - Leading Main Contractor

Our client are a leading main contractor with a full pipeline of work to sustain them in Scotland over the next 5 years. With a core focus on education , community and healthcare they can offer long -term and interesting careers to their operational teams across Scotland. As their workload increases for 2024 they are now seeking to add a critical role to their business.
Your new role
This role is for an experienced Senior Site Engineer working across their projects. Your main role will be to assist the operational teams in the delivery of complex building projects. You will be their engineering support ensuring their civil and structural trades are completing their works in line with design and quality. Our client have a very collaborative and progressive culture and you will be seen very much as an in house expert to support your trades in the technical challenges they face. You will NOT be expected to be on the tools in terms of setting out. Another core part of this role will be to assist their senior management in the training and development of their cadre of graduate and junior construction managers ensuring solid engineering principles becomes embedded in how they operate onsite.
This role will be working across multiple sites and supporting multiple teams but reporting into senior management.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate is a degree qualified engineer with a solid track record working for main contractors in Scotland or perhaps the UK.You will have excellent inground and structural expertise and have a deep understanding of how critical these elements are to the success of a complex building project. Your will have a professional approach and have previous experience of training graduate or junior construction managers ( or engineers) and enjoy this part of the role. Our clients projects are clustered across the Central Belt of Scotland so a full driving license will be essential and you are comfortable working across multiple projects and dealing with multiple site teams. You will have the ability to be based on one or two of their larger projects ( up to £70million) but with regular visits where required to their other projects.
