The company are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team in the West Midlands. Focusing on high profile, technically complex projects across MOJ and DfE sectors. Your new role

Our Senior Quantity Surveyors are a valuable part of our business, where they lead the team on a project or cluster of packages having full accountability for the development and implementation of all pre- and post-contract strategies, commercial functions and contract reporting. Senior Quantity Surveyors take the lead, working collaboratively with our customers and industry specialists with a firm focus on added value, compliance, commercial viability, and best practice.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Commercial Management – Strong understanding of cost control, budgeting, and financial reporting.

  • Contract Administration – Expertise in pre- and post-contract processes, including drafting and managing contracts.

  • Leadership & Team Management – Ability to lead project teams and mentor junior staff effectively.

  • Stakeholder Collaboration – Skilled in building relationships with clients, contractors, and industry specialists.

  • Risk Management – Identifying, assessing, and mitigating commercial and contractual risks.

  • Negotiation Skills – Confident in negotiating terms, variations, and resolving disputes.

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving – Ability to interpret data and make informed decisions under pressure.

  • Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge – Understanding of industry standards, legal requirements, and best practices.

  • Communication & Reporting – Clear and professional verbal and written communication for reports and presentations.

  • Value Engineering – Focus on delivering added value and cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.


What you'll get in return
