Senior Quantity Surveyor – MTC Projects (Newry & Mourne)

Your new company

You will be joining a well‑established contractor with a strong track record in delivering Measured Term Contracts across the Newry & Mourne region. The organisation is known for its reliability, high standards, and long‑standing client relationships. With a growing portfolio of maintenance and minor works projects, the company offers a stable and supportive environment for an experienced commercial professional looking to take the next step in their career.

Your new role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take commercial responsibility for a range of MTC projects, ensuring accurate cost control, contract compliance, and effective financial management. You will oversee valuations, variations, forecasting, and reporting, while providing guidance to junior members of the commercial team. The role involves close collaboration with operational staff, subcontractors, and clients, requiring strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple work streams within a fast‑paced maintenance environment. You will play a key role in driving commercial performance, maintaining robust records, and supporting the successful delivery of both reactive and planned works.

What you'll need to succeed

You will have significant experience in a quantity surveying role, ideally within maintenance, frameworks, or Measured Term Contracts. A strong understanding of commercial processes, contract administration, and cost management is essential. You should be confident in leading commercial activities, managing subcontractors, and liaising directly with clients. Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are key. A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline is preferred, along with strong IT skills and a proactive, solutions‑focused approach.

What you'll get in return

You will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, along with the opportunity to work within a stable and growing organisation. The role offers long‑term career development, exposure to a diverse range of maintenance and minor works projects, and the chance to contribute meaningfully to the commercial success of the business. You will be part of a supportive team that values professionalism, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
