Your new company
You will be joining a well‑established and highly regarded construction consultancy with a strong presence across the UK, particularly within the Scottish market. Known for its practical and hands‑on approach, the organisation delivers high‑quality cost management and project advisory services to a broad client base across both public and private sectors.

Operating across a diverse project portfolio, the business supports residential developments, commercial refurbishments, and healthcare and education schemes. With a strong pipeline of repeat work, they have built a reputation for reliability, technical expertise, and long‑standing client relationships.

The consultancy fosters a collaborative, approachable culture where individuals are trusted to take ownership of their work. As part of their continued growth, they are now seeking a commercially aware Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their close‑knit team.

Your new role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take a leading role in delivering projects across the residential, commercial, healthcare, and education sectors. You will work closely with clients, contractors, and design teams, providing clear and commercially focused advice throughout all project stages.

You will be responsible for managing full pre‑and post‑contract duties, including cost planning, procurement, contract administration, and financial reporting. You will lead client meetings, monitor project performance, manage variations, and ensure projects are delivered in line with budgets and expectations.

Alongside your project responsibilities, you will support and mentor junior team members and contribute to maintaining high standards across the business.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong background in quantity surveying within a consultancy environment and experience managing projects across sectors such as residential, commercial, healthcare, or education.

You will demonstrate solid technical expertise in cost planning, procurement, and contract administration, alongside the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills and a client‑facing approach are essential, with the confidence to build lasting relationships.

MRICS status (or working towards it) is preferred, alongside a proactive, practical mindset and strong commercial awareness.

What you'll get in return
You will join a consultancy that values its people and offers a supportive, flexible working environment. There are clear opportunities for career progression, with support towards professional development and chartership.
The role offers a competitive salary, generous holiday entitlement, pension, and flexible working arrangements. You will benefit from exposure to a varied project portfolio and the opportunity to take real ownership of your work within a collaborative and team‑focused culture.
