We are seeking an experienced and established Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client for a water treatment project based in Birmingham. This is a fully site-based role with a project duration of 12-18 months. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) or Civils.

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and established Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our client for a water treatment project based in Birmingham. This is a fully site-based role with a project duration of 12-18 months. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) or Civils.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
- Ensure that the project is completed within its projected budget.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
- Provide advice on contractual claims.
- Analyse outcomes and write detailed progress reports.
- Value completed work and arrange payments.
- Maintain awareness of the different building contracts in current use.
- Understanding the implications of health and safety regulations.
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor.
- Background in MEICA or Civils is essential.
- Previous experience in water treatment projects is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and principles.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
