Your new company
A Well established main contractor focussed on new build social housing schemes seek an experienced project QS for a new scheme in Peckham, SE London. Working across South London, schemes are typically 50–200 unit inner city apartment blocks. Working from purpose built offices in south London with an extremely stable senior management team they work with a strong list of repeat clients and typically have around 5 live sites at any one time. Due to a recent contract win combined with a general need for team expansion, they now seek an Experienced Project Qs to join the team.Your new role
As project Qs you will be responsible for the commercial management of a new 50 unit scheme due on site imminently. You will be heavily involved in procurement and placing subcontract orders initially working closely with the commercial Director. Moving on you will oversee subcontractor payments, variations, valuations and approving po's etc. You will also be expected to produce and present a monthly CVR report. The role will be Head office based (SE London) with several days on site each week. The project has around 18 months to run with further schemes already secured.What you'll need to succeed
You will be an experienced Quantity surveyor with a background in overseeing Residential schemes through the full life cycle, you will ideally be degree educated or equivalent and have worked for Developer or housebuilding contractor recently. This is a permanent role therefore only suitable or those looking for a long term career move.
