Senior Project Manager (Interim - Education Projects)

Your new company

You will be joining a respected and forward‑thinking education organisation delivering multiple new school openings in the North west in capital projects and strategic education initiatives across the North West. The trust is committed to improving outcomes for young people and is currently progressing several significant programmes requiring strong project leadership. This interim role is essential to keeping these projects on track during a critical delivery period.

Your new role

As Senior Project Manager, you will manage the delivery of several school opening projects across the North West, overseeing both high‑level coordination and hands‑on delivery where required. You will:
  • Oversee project management for multiple school openings.
  • Deliver specific aspects of projects directly when required.
  • Ensure timelines, budgets, and compliance requirements are met.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams and external partners
  • Collaborate with local authorities, contractors, internal stakeholders and education partners.
  • Support the delivery of key programmes including new builds and expansions across sites such as Greater Manchester, Lancashire and Liverpool
  • Balance strategic oversight with operational delivery, ensuring successful project handover into business‑as‑usual.
  • This is an interim role required until the end of May, covering a critical phase of the organisation’s delivery pipeline.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Education sector experience or similar regulated environments
  • Proven project management experience across multi‑site or complex environments.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and drive progress independently.
  • Ability to balance oversight with hands-on delivery.
  • Effective communicator and problem solver.
  • Flexibility to travel across the North West, including Greater Manchester, Liverpool and Lancashire.
  • Must hold a full UK driving licence.
  • And have enhanced DBS (We can get one pending if you don’t have one)
