We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a major Platform Infrastructure Modernisation programme within a large, complex, global organisation.
This programme focusses on standardising and modernising core infrastructure platforms, including data centre consolidation, cloud landing zones, and large‑scale application migrations.
You will take end‑to‑end ownership of delivery, working closely with infrastructure, cloud, security and application teams across multiple regions, as well as external vendors.Details:

Duration - 12 months
Responsibilities:
- Lead the delivery of large, complex infrastructure and platform modernisation initiatives
- Plan and manage application migration programmes, including discovery, dependency analysis, migration waves, cutover and decommissioning
- Drive data centre consolidation and platform standardisation activities globally
- Coordinate and facilitate workshops with application owners, architects and technical teams worldwide
- Manage interdependencies across infrastructure, cloud, security and workplace technology
- Lead and coordinate multi‑vendor, global delivery teams
- Deliver using a hybrid Agile / Waterfall approach (Agile delivery via Azure DevOps expected)
- Own project governance: scope, schedule, budget, RAID, quality and reporting
- Provide clear status reporting and communication to senior stakeholders and steering forums
- Ensure smooth transition into operations, including operational readiness and handover to BAU teams
Experience Required:
- Vast experience delivering large‑scale IT / infrastructure programmes within Insurance / Financial Services environments
- Proven experience leading platform or infrastructure modernisation, data centre consolidation/exit, or large application migration initiatives
- Strong understanding of infrastructure and cloud platforms (hybrid environments; Azure highly desirable)
- Demonstrable experience planning and executing application migration programmes at scale
- Experience working with global, multi‑vendor delivery models
- Solid grounding in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall or hybrid; PRINCE2/MSP experience beneficial)
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical topics to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
