We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Category Manager to lead strategic procurement activity across the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) category. This interim role is critical to driving commercial value, supporting digital transformation, and ensuring robust supplier engagement across a complex stakeholder landscape.

About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Category Manager to lead strategic procurement activity across the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) category. This interim role is critical to driving commercial value, supporting digital transformation, and ensuring robust supplier engagement across a complex stakeholder landscape.
Key Responsibilities
- Running Tenders for DDaT spend areas, aligned with organisational goals and commercial best practice
- Lead end-to-end procurement processes, ensuring compliance with public sector regulations and frameworks
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers to influence outcomes and drive innovation
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, improved service delivery, and risk mitigation
- Provide expert guidance on contract management, supplier performance, and market engagement
- Support wider commercial transformation initiatives and mentor junior team members where appropriate
Essential Experience
- Proven track record in technology category management, ideally within the public sector
- Strong understanding of public procurement regulations (PCR 2015 & PA23) and government frameworks (e.g. CCS, G-Cloud, DOS)
- Experience managing complex stakeholder relationships and delivering strategic outcomes
- Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and analytical skills
- MCIPS qualified or equivalent (desirable)
