Hays has partnered with a Japanese investment bank to appoint an experienced Senior PMO to support on a complex IT transformation programme. If you're an accomplished PMO, with demonstrated experience in end-to-end IT transformation and exceptional skills in portfolio financials (tracking programme level actuals against budgets and forecasts, and collating finances from multiple

Length: Until 31/03/26 + very likely extension (3 years left on the programme/portfolio)
Rate: Up to £514/day inside via Umbrella
Location: London City, 2 days in-office
Start Date: January

Your new role and w hat you'll need to succeed

As the Senior PMO, you will bring at least 10 years of experience in complex technology portfolios with a core focus on finances (including managing, maintaining, and tracking budgets, tracking financial reports and reconciliations). Working closely with the Programme Lead to review existing governance processes to deliver a large-scale transformation programme, your key duties/experience will include:
Tracking and collating finances from multiple sources and entities which follow different processes and governance models (across the UK, EMEA and Asia)
  • Managing the portfolio's annual budget, as well as supporting the PM in reviewing timesheets, raising POs, and liaising with procurement and accounts payable to clear invoicing issues.
  • Experience in project planning, milestone reporting, RAIDs, and resource management, as well as providing guidance and advice on project best practice.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with a strong understanding of project management methodologies and the ability to remain pragmatic while ensuring controls are adhered to
  • Experience within financial services will be highly regarded, but is not essential: demonstrated end-to-end programme/portfolio PMO support will be preferenced above industry background.
