Your new role
As a Senior Planner, you will provide highly effective and professional planning and programming expertise to support both pre‑contract and project teams. You will take ownership of planning activities, ensuring projects are set up for success from tender through to completion. Key responsibilities include:

  • Instigating and monitoring a balanced suite of performance measurement criteria throughout the full project lifecycle.

  • Ensuring seamless integration between design, procurement and construction elements.

  • Producing integrated tender programmes and method statements, and presenting them at settlement meetings.

  • Leading change management processes, reviewing programme impacts and advising on EOT matters.

  • Producing schedules and analysing time‑related prelim reports and quotations.

  • Undertaking occasional site visits across regions including Preston and Cumbria.

    What you’ll need to succeed

  • Strong experience as a stand‑alone Planner within the construction sector

  • The capability to manage complex, multi‑disciplinary programmes

  • Expertise in integrating design, procurement and construction sequencing

  • A proactive, self‑sufficient mindset with the confidence to contribute to tenders and live projects

  • Experience working on large‑scale construction projects, ideally in sectors such as MOJ, Education, Blue Light, Leisure or Commercial

  • Ambition to grow – whether you are already operating at Senior Planner level or ready to step into a future Lead Planner position

    What you’ll get in return

  • Competitive salary

  • Profit share scheme

  • Car allowance or company car

  • Exceptional corporate benefits including Private Medical Insurance, 8% employer pension contribution, Health & Wellness programme, and 26 days’ holiday plus bank holidays.

  • Excellent career development support, with industry‑leading training and a clear progression pathway.

  • This role is office‑based five days per week, with flexibility considered where formally agreed.
