Hays Accountancy and Finance are working with a leading charity who supports individuals with mental health, autism, dementia and learning disabilities.

Your new role

Reporting to the Payroll Manager, you will be an integral part of the Payroll Team to process internal payroll across three jurisdictions: UK, IOM, and ROI. You will be required to calculate wages based on hours worked and administer payments to over 1800 staff. The ideal candidate will be proficient in payroll software, accurate with numbers, and trustworthy with sensitive information. Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with colleagues and executives. The goal is to ensure that everyone receives the correct compensation in a timely manner.

What you'll need to succeed

• Solid understanding of payroll, HMRC, and Auto-enrolment.
• Very good knowledge of legislation and regulations in the field.
• CIPP Qualified or at least 3 years of payroll experience.
• End-to-end payroll processing.
• Handling employee queries in a timely manner.
• Prioritising tasks as per payroll schedule.
• Confident in decision-making.
• Proficient in MS Office and knowledgeable in relevant software and databases.
• Guiding, mentoring, and leading other team members when necessary.
• Trustworthy with attention to confidentiality.
• Outstanding organisational ability with great attention to detail.
