Senior Operations Analyst, Fixed Income, London, Temporary

A dynamic financial institution is seeking a detail-oriented Senior Operations Analyst to join its post-trade operations team. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of fixed income and derivative transactions, from execution through to settlement. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth of the fixed income business and contributing to operational excellence across a broad product suite.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the accurate and timely processing of fixed income and derivative trades, ensuring alignment with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Collaborate with trading desks and other internal teams to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and escalate operational risks.
  • Participate in ongoing process reviews and propose enhancements to improve workflow.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication across departments and with external stakeholders.
  • Support training initiatives within the team to build expertise in fixed income operations.
  • Ensure compliance with internal quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assist in resolving trade discrepancies and implementing corrective actions.
  • Engage with global operations teams to align processes and share best practices.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Strong understanding of fixed income instruments such as bonds, repos, and certificates of deposit.
  • Proven experience in trade lifecycle management, including confirmation, matching, and settlement.
  • Familiarity with margining processes for repo transactions.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Effective communicator with the ability to train and support colleagues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable working with data.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and adapt to change in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management capabilities.
