Senior Network Engineer - Permanent - Cardiff - c£55,000pa - Hybrid Working
Hays are supporting a large organisation based in Cardiff recruiting for a permanent Senior Network Engineer. The role is paying c£55,000pa depending on experience and typically 2 days on site per week.
In the role, you will join a collaborative technical team managing diverse network technologies across vendors like Cisco, Palo Alto & Zscaler etc. You'll support and implement modern network solutions, working on both projects and BAU within an ITIL framework.
Key responsibilities include leading network projects, mentoring junior engineers, developing automation scripts, and optimising performance. You'll work closely with architects and play a strategic role in planning, scaling, and integrating new technologies, requiring strong leadership, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
About You:
- Cisco CCNP (or equivalent) certification.
- Strong expertise in enterprise networks and cloud infrastructure.
- Proven 3rd-line support experience with excellent stakeholder management.
- Skilled in Cisco routing/switching, ASAs, Palo Alto, Wireless, ISE, SolarWinds, ZScaler, SD-WAN.
- Team-oriented with a focus on outstanding customer service.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes.
- Full driving licence & access to vehicle
