My client, a biotechnology company that develops cancer immunotherapy products with a primary focus on genetically engineered autologous CAR T cell therapy, has an opportunity for a Senior Manager, Medical Operations & Governance to join their team on a contract basis until the end of the year.

Inside IR35
PAYE: £386.96 - £503.05 p/d
Umbrella: £446.43 - £580.36 p/d
Onsite 3 days per week, Uxbridge


Your new role

This is a high-visibility opportunity to shape Medical Affairs operational excellence within a cutting-edge cell therapy organisation, driving grants governance, patient engagement capability, and strategic operations across global regions.
You will lead the end-to-end Medical Grants process while supporting broader Medical Affairs operations. Partnering closely with medical leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compliant, efficient, and high-quality execution of medical grants, governance activities, and operational initiatives.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Advanced degree (MPH, PharmD, MBA, PhD) preferred
  • Extensive experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • Extensive hands-on experience in Medical Grants, Medical Affairs Operations, or Medical Governance
  • Strong understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in medical funding
  • Proven project management and operational excellence capabilities
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across Medical, Legal, Compliance, and Finance
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, with the ability to leverage AI-enabled tools to enhance efficiency, data handling, and workflow optimisation.
  • Strong communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions.
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
