IT Senior Project Manager (M&A Integration)
£600 - £700 per day
Hybrid: Leeds and London 1x per week each

In the context of a high-impact merger between two food manufacturing firms, the IT Project Manager will be responsible for driving the execution of integration projects. This role requires strong project governance, stakeholder management, and delivery oversight to ensure that IT initiatives support the broader business transformation objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and Coordinate Day 1 Technology Enablement: Develop and manage detailed plans for critical Day 1 technology deliverables (e.g., connectivity, email, collaboration tools), ensuring timelines, resources, and dependencies are aligned.
  • Drive Execution and Readiness Activities: Lead dry runs and readiness checks for key processes, using standard templates and ensuring cross-workstream collaboration to validate operational continuity.
  • Monitor Progress and Manage Risks: Track milestones and deliverables, proactively identifying risks, issues, and deviations, and implementing mitigation actions to maintain business continuity.
  • Support Hypercare and Service Readiness: Coordinate post-Day 1 support plans, ensuring service desks and escalation channels are prepared for triage and resolution of integration-related issues.
  • Enable Cross-Functional Delivery: Work with HR, Finance, Operations, and other functional teams to execute agreed technology requirements and ensure systems are accessible and operational from Day 1.
  • Ensure Security and Compliance Alignment: Support implementation of enhanced security monitoring and incident response processes, adhering to agreed compliance standards.
  • Maintain Transparent Communication and Documentation: Keep accurate records of plans, decisions, and progress, and provide regular status updates to the Integration Lead and key stakeholders.
  • Escalate Issues Promptly: Act as the first escalation point for unresolved delivery challenges, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to business operations.
