Senior Indirect Buyer - West London - Hybrid Working

Your new company

You will be working for a Global manufacturer based in Greater London, who are on a mission to transform urban living, leading the way in their market. This company has teams based in 10 countries and trades in over 40 countries worldwide, making this an exciting global opportunity.

Your new role

You will be working closely with the indirect procurement manager, supporting their daily indirect procurement activities. As this company continues to grow, their need to manage indirect spend has become vital to the success of the business.

You will be responsible for:

  • Targeting cost saving & consolidation opportunities in the indirect categories whilst maintaining quality and service.
  • Analysing the current spends and look for opportunities to save costs in line with the business KPI’s.
  • Drive and develop a reliable, sustainable, and robust supply chain for alternatively sourced parts and services.
  • Help develop and implement contracts and long-term agreement for all newly sourced parts and services.
  • Managing bids and tenders for all contracting work
  • Maintain records of goods ordered and received, ensuring that any issues are fully investigated and resolved.
  • Develop and introduce KPI's throughout the indirect categories.
  • Attending internal meetings as and when necessary, with various departments.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to build rapport and relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Previous experience in indirect buying across a variety of categories, preferable for HR & Professional services
  • Experience working in a 'hands on' procurement role, including execution of cost-saving exercises
  • A good working knowledge of MRP/APS systems
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel
  • CIPS certified is desirable but not required.
